Cholowski Making Instant Impact With Cougars

The Cougars took a flyer on defenceman Dennis Cholowski in the 10th round of the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft. The skilled but undersized blueliner had told WHL teams that he was going the NCAA college route, and wasn’t planning on ever playing in the WHL. But it’s funny how life works sometimes, and after signing a contract with the Detroit Red Wings this spring, the 2016 first round pick was assigned to the Cougars in September, and as expected is making a big impact in his first WHL season.
