Okanagan Icewine Harvest Set To Be Earliest On Record

Nov 7, 2017 | 3:34 PM

This year’s icewine harvest is on track to be the earliest in the central Okanagan region. Most of the grapes are needing to be picked in two nights, making it one of the shortest harvests.

With consecutive nights of temperatures below -8 C, it’s created excellent conditions for picking grapes.

Producing icewine is when the grapes are crushed at -8 C or colder.
