Local Social Sciences Teacher Awarded

A local Social Sciences teacher is heading to Ottawa next week to receive the Governor General’s History Award for Excellence in Teaching. 
Upon hearing he won the award, Glen Thielmann says the first question was why. He says the intergenerational Skookum Stories project in which his Grade Nine students delved into their family histories put him over the top.
