Snowfall Causes Headaches

Nov 19, 2017 | 10:23 AM

The snowfall warnings issued by Environment Canada are causing major delays on some of B.C highways. Avalanche Control in the north west is causing 30 minute delays in both direction on highway 16 according to Drive BC. Also, the Pine Pass is expected to have 15 cm of snowfall that will gradually decrease in the afternoon.

Many regions across Northern B.C. should also be on alert as a mixture of snow and rain is expected over regions including North Columbia and Yellowhead. Visibility may be reduced and the roads will become more difficult to navigate. Temperatures are also expected to drop throughout the day.

Environment Canada says that the low pressure system moving accross the northern interior will ease in some regions including McGregor and B.C. River as early as this afternoon.
