The West Kelowna Warriors scored three times in the first four minutes of the third period to blow open a tight game and defeat the Spruce Kings 4 – 2 Saturday night in Prince George. Michael Ryan and Willie Reim had a goal and an assist each to lead the Warriors to the win.

Dustin Manz scored a powerplay goal near the midway point of the third period in a bid for a Spruce Kings comeback.  But Prince George didn’t get a second goal until the final minute when Kyle Johnson scored his 12th of the season with the goaltender pulled.

With 29 points in 27 games, the Kings are tied for second place in the tight Mainland Division.  They’re only four points behind first place Langley but only one point ahead of fourth place Chilliwack. They host Coquitlam for a pair of games next weekend.
