BC Hockey Bringing In Full Face Protection Rule For Junior B

Dec 5, 2017 | 6:34 PM

BC Hockey made a big announcement today, making full face protection mandatory for all junior B teams in the province starting next season. That covers three leagues, including the K-I-J-H-L which the Kamloops Storm play in, and is also the league that a potential expansion team in Quesnel could play in in the near future. There are also two teams in the north, the Fort St. John Huskies and Dawson Creek Junior Canucks, who will also be affected by the new rule. BC Hockey says it’s in the interest of player safety and reducing facial and dental injuries.
