Local Man Arrested For Downtown Theft

Local Mounties have arrested and charged 35-year-old Kurt Steinhauser with theft and possession of stolen property.

RCMP responded to an incident around 6:00 pm Thursday evening.  Police alledge the Prince George man was spotted stealing a backpack and electronic devices from a vehicle on 4th Avenue near Ontario Street. 

Steinhauser is known to police.  Mounties say he is already awaiting trial for a previous offence on related charges.

Police are reminding the public to not leave any valuables in their vehicles over the holiday season.
