T-Birds Come From Behind to Beat Cougars

Matt Berlin made 34 saves as the Seattle Thunderbirds scored four times in the third period to come from behind and beat the visiting Prince George Cougars 5 – 3.

Reece Harsch opened the scoring before Nolan Volcan, Austin Strand, Donovan Neuls and Zack Andrusiak struck in the final period for the Thunderbirds, who evened their record at 14-14-4 with the win.

Vladislav Mikhalchuk, Josh Maser and Aaron Boyd scored for the Cougars while Tavin Grant stopped 26 of 30 shots in a losing cause.  The loss leaves the Cougars three points behind Seattle as the two clubs try to catch Kamloops for the final playoff spot.

Prince George will try to get back on the winning track Saturday night in Everett.
