2018 #TrueNorth Kicks Off Tuesday

An annual event put on by the local Chamber of Commerce is back. The 2018 #TrueNorth brings chamber members together with provincial ministers and economic development offices, such as the Northern Development Initiatives Trust.
NDIT CEO Joel McKay says doing business in the North is vastly different than how it’s done in a place like Metro Vancouver.
“Some of the things we’re hearing over the years in building success in the North, especially in a small community, is relationships, tapping local resources and getting to know who’s who in the zoo,” he says. “We have a different culture in the North, we’re different than Metro Vancouver. But there’s opportunity within that that you don’t get in Metro Van.”
The event takes place all day on Tuesday at the Coast Inn of the North.
