PRINCE GEORGE — Science World’s On the Road team is in Prince George this week. The pair is visiting elementary schools to teach kids about the science behind different weather systems. The visit is part of the Community Science Celebration, which is co-presented with the Exploration Place. They’ll make a stop at the Cougars game on Friday night, and they’ll set up shop at the museum on Saturday afternoon from 10:30 until 4.

“We are thrilled to be participating in the Community Science Celebration in Prince George,” said Jo-Ann Coggan, Director of Community Outreach for Science World. “It is a showcase of the community for the community and will profile local businesses, organizations and innovators. Science World and The Exploration Place will provide fun, dynamic science experiences for the whole family as part of this event.”

The event has a variety of interactive demonstrations that incorporate fire, lightning, snow, and tornadoes. It’s free for all ages at the Exploration Place.
