Cougars Shutout On Home Ice

PRINCE GEORGE – Riley Lamb stopped 25 shots to post his first shutout of the season as the Red Deer Rebels blanked the Prince George Cougars 4 – 0 in a Monday afternoon matinee at CN Centre.  

Dawson Barteaux’s powerplay goal midway through the first period stood up as the winner.  Mason McCarty, Alexander Alexeyev and Kristian Reichel added singles.  Brandon Hagel had four assists.

Taylor Gauthier suffered the loss in the Cougars net, facing 31 shots.  It was the fifth time the Cougars have been blanked this season.

Winless in four games, the Cougars open a four-game road trip Saturday in Kamloops.
