Kolle Still Hoping To Bring Junior Hockey Back To Quesnel

Former Quesnel Millionaire Matt Kolle has been trying to bring junior hockey back to the Gold Pan city since 2016, but a few weeks ago his group’s second bid for a KIJHL expansion team was denied. But Kolle says he’s not giving up, and this weekend Quesnel hosted another set of well-attended KIJHL games at the West Fraser Centre. Kolle says his group is now looking more towards relocating one of the Kootenay Junior B league’s current teams, and that there are a few who aren’t doing very well financially who may be candidates for relocation. But the Kamloops Storm assistant GM also points out that his Quesnel group will be buying a majority stake in the Storm this summer.
