Info Session For Heritage Fair Tonight

PRINCE GEORGE – History lovers from grades 4 to 10 still have a few months to prepare for the 2018 Regional Heritage Fair. The Prince George Public Library will be hosting an information session for students and parents today. The info session is directed towards homeschool families, but it is open for everyone to attend in order to ask questions about the fair.

Teen Librarian, Heather Gloster says that the information sessions started after she “heard from a homeschooling family that last year they were interested in participating in Science Fair. They didn’t understand all the rules about how you go about entering and the ethics. So, the child did the whole project and unfortunately because they had used human beings and they hadn’t gone through the proper ethics process, they weren’t able to participate in science fair. So now that we’re having these info sessions everyone has a chance to ask all these questions and then they should have no problems entering in the Heritage or Science Fair.”

The session runs from 4 until 5 at the Bob Harkins Branch.
