Bear Lake Crashes

PRINCE GEORGE – Traffic along Highway 97 near Bear Lake has been slowed this morning by a pair of crashes.

Greyhound says one of its buses was involved in a crash around 4:00 am, south of Bear Lake.  The bus had 11 passengers and one driver on board.  One of the passengers was sent to a hospital with minor injuries.  The remaining passengers were transported to a local church and awaiting a relief bus to continue their journey.

Then around 5:00 am, RCMP say a logging truck crashed, spilling its load of logs onto the highway.  That crash occurred in the same area.  Luckily there were no injuries.

Light snow had fallen in the area overnight, making for slick highway road conditions.
