PRINCE GEORGE – Ethan Browne capped a wild game, scoring in a shootout to give the Prince George Cougars a 7 – 6 win in Kamloops Saturday night.

The game began with a Kamloops goal 15 seconds into the first period and featured six lead changes.  Josh Maser and Vladislav Mikhalchuk each scored twice for the Cougars while Jared Bethune and Josh Curtis had singles.  Grant Tavin stopped 39 of 45 shots to pick up the win in net.

Six different Blazers scored in the loss.  While the Cougars playoff hopes were looked dim weeks ago, the loss was especially hard on the Blazers who could have pulled within five points of the final postseason berth in the Western Division.

Prince George makes its second stop on a four-game road trip Tuesday in Kelowna.
