Recognizing History Buffs: Jeanne Clark Awards Tonight

PRINCE GEORGE-  The Jeanne Clarke Awards are on tonight to recognize those preserving and promoting local history.  

The categories are:

• Service award: for an outstanding contribution to the field of local history
• Publication award: for a recently published work that includes significant content contributing to local history

The awards were established by the Prince George Public Library board in memory of one of their founding members. 

Jeanne Clarke served the board from 1978 to 1984 and was fundamental to establishing the library’s local history collection.
