PRINCE GEORGE — Yesterday at 6:41 pm, RCMP were on a routine patrol along Highway 97 where they saw two snowmobiles had fallen off the deck of a pickup truck. The driver didn’t seem to notice the sparks coming from the sleds skidding on the asphalt. Police were able to stop the vehicle near the intersection of Old Cariboo Highway and Highway 97 South. Officers concluded that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and was issued a 90-day Immediate Roadside Prohibition (IRP) along with a ticket for an unsecured load. The truck was impounded and the snowmobiles were towed back to town.
