Local Businesses Warned About Counterfeit Currency

PRINCE GEORGE – Prince George RCMP are warning businesses about counterfeit money that’s recently been making the rounds in the city.

Since the start of the year, RCMP have dealt with 17 reports of people passing phoney American and some Canadian bills. Specifically, the counterfeit US $10, $20 and $50 bills were being passed around. Police are urging all retailers to carefully check cash, especially larger bills.
