PRINCE GEORGE – There is a core of residents who enjoy the challenge of observing and taking note of the activities involving wild birds. Recently there have been several organized bird counts that come up with some interesting observations. One animal that caught the eye of some local birders was the Eurasian Collared-Dove. According to Sandra Kinsey, with the Prince George Naturalists Club, the Eurasian Collared-Dove appeared in the Prince George region around five years ago and it may be pushing out native birds.
