New Fire Trucks Aimed To Up Response Time

WILLIAMS LAKE – New fire trucks have arrived and Ten Mile VFD Chief Danny Keeler says he hopes they will improve emergency response times.

Three Cariboo Regional District (CRD) volunteer fire departments received the trucks, which fill and empty faster than the old fleet.

CRD Chair Margo Wagner says, “this last summer just goes to show how important our volunteer fire departments are to our communities. Having equipment that is up to standard is critical for the work they do.”

The third and final truck, a tandem-axel water tender, arrived this week at the Ten Mile Volunteer Fire Department.
