PRINCE GEORGE – There’s a new display at the Two Rivers Gallery these days. It’s a public notice of the gallery’s intention to get a year-round liquor licence.

“We host a lot of “uncork” and “unwines,” as we call them, paint nights. Sometimes there are sculpture nights We also have private functions, we have our own fundraisers,” explains Carolyn Holmes, the Managing Director for the gallery. “So, again and  again, we’re trying to run these events, get licences for them without maxing out on the number of liquor licences we can have each month or each year.”

The Province recently introduced legislation that allows for liquor licences in a much broader array of venues, such as hair salons.
