PRINCE GEORGE – The newest exhibition at Two Rivers Gallery demonstrates the power of social media and art.
On January 1st, 2016, Prince George artist Maureen Faulkner committed to painting one piece a day for a year. She completed that goal with some unlikely inspiration from people around the world.

Throughout the months Faulkner shared her work on social media, in response, people as far as Australia decided to mail her objects as inspiration. Everything from postcards, to feathers, and even an umbilical chord, arrived at her door.

“Art brings people together, and it doesn’t matter what language you speak, it doesn’t matter your age, you get what’s going on a piece of paper,” says Maureen Faulkner, artist.

Every month Faulkner increased the size of her painting by just a few inches.
