Snowmelt Continues: City Asks Residents To Be Proactive

PRINCE GEORGE – Tuesday is the first day of Spring, and with the warming weather, snow is melting quicker. 

The City of Prince George has released a list of ways to prevent flooding on your street and property. 

They advise adding landscaping to help run excess water away from your home. Additionally, ensure all storm and foundation drains are clear. The City also asks residents to lend a hand to elderly neighbours or those with mobility issues.

The City’s Utilities Division has a crew of 40 trying to keep the nearly 5,500 storm drains clog-free
