It was the first time in the last four seasons that the Prince George Cougars missed the playoffs. And now just two days after the season finished, the ownership group has decided to part ways with General Manager Todd Harkins. Harkins took over the role four years ago and under his leadership, the team ended a three-year playoff drought, recording a winning season for the first time since 2007, and won their first ever BC Division Championship in 2017. The six-man ownership team decided not to renew Harkins contract, but says he’ll be remembered for his impact on the hockey community.
