Celebrating The Persian New Year

PRINCE GEORGE – While yesterday marked the first day of Spring, it also marked the Persian New Year. And today, three siblings from Iran held a party at the College of New Caledonia to celebrate the occasion. They had Iranian arts and crafts, music and, of course, birthday cake. Iranians take the beginning of spring at the start of the year. The traditions have been celebrated for at least three thousand years, which is what prompted the siblings to celebrate the event for the very first time at the College.
