Kings Prepare For Monday Night Showdown

PRINCE GEORGE – It’s not a must-win game, but it’s pretty close.  The Prince George Spruce Kings host the Wenatchee Wild in game three of the Fred Page Cup Monday night in Prince George. The Wild won the opening two games of the series in Washington State over the weekend.

However, the series deficit is not insurmountable for Prince George.  In the opening round of the playoffs, Prince George trailed Chilliwack 3 games to 1.  But the Kings rattled off three straight wins to capture the series in seven games.

Prince George will be back by an expected sellout at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena Monday night.  But they’ll need more than their cheering fans to get back into the series.  They’ll need shots on goals.  The Kings only managed 40 shots in the two games in Wenatchee.  The Wild fired 90 shots while posting wins of 4 – 0 and 4 – 2.

Game time is 7:00pm Monday night.  Game four in the series will be played Tuesday night at 7:00pm in Prince George.
