PRINCE GEORGE — It was built to be the Bank of Montreal in 1952 and was turned over to UNBC in 2005. But the university has been consolidating its downtown programming to the Wood Innovation and Design Centre. It means the former bank will need some tenants. Enter: The Community Arts Council.
Renovations are already underway.

“We are so excited, particularly with our new potential partners in this facility with the Prince George Farmers’ Market,” says Sean Ferrell, the Executive Director for the Community Arts Council.

But the first tenant to move into that location will be the Prince George Farmers’ Market.

“We basically got pushed out of our location [on Sixth Avenue] for the development of the condo complex,” explains Phil Myatovic, who says they checked out a number of possible options for a new location and the Third Avenue location is, by far, the best.
