Poisson Back On Ice For Kings

The Spruce Kings also received a boost last night from a familiar face. After Ben Poisson was forced to miss 29 games with a ruptured spleen and dislocated shoulder, last night he made his return and almost scored on his first shift. A great moment for not only the team but the fans, as RMC erupted when number 12 skated from the tunnel to the bench halfway through the first period. The return did not come without a crazy day beforehand. At 2:00 in Vancouver, Poisson was cleared to play. At 5:30, he boarded a plane, and by 6:45 he was driving to the arena with excitement and a bit of nerves coursing through him.
