41st Home And Garden Show Set To Go

Over a hundred vendors are setting up in the Kin Centres, gearing up for the 41st annual Northern BC Home and Garden Show.

“Now that the snow has finally disappeared, folks in Prince George have had cabin fever so they want to get outside. They’re looking around the yard, they want to expand their living space to the outdoors,” says Terri McConnachie with the Canadian Homebuilders Association of Northern BC. “Maybe there’s a coat of paint in order, or will that furnace last another winter? What does the roof look like? Now that the snow is gone. All those solutions are here.”

There will also be a playhouse-building contest between local contractors, with the houses being auctioned off Sunday at 2 p.m. The proceeds will go to Rotary Hospice House.

The Home and Garden Show doors open tomorrow at 3 p.m. and close up again for another year on Sunday at 4 p.m.
