The Cougars took a flyer on defenceman Dennis Cholowski in the 10th round of the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft. The skilled but undersized blueliner had told WHL teams that he was going the NCAA college route, and wasn’t planning on ever playing in the WHL.
As we told you on the show yesterday, along with Cholowski, another Cougars player who got some good news yesterday was goalie Taylor Gauthier. The 16-year-old got the call for Team Canada at the World U17 Hockey Challenge, which will be played in Fort St. John and Dawson Creek.
