Prince George RCMP announce new top cop

PRINCE GEORGE — There’s a new officer in charge of the Prince George RCMP.

Inspector Shaun Wright has been promoted to the rank of Superintendent at the detachment.

Superintendent Wright has been the Operations Officer at the Prince George Detachment since late 2016.

He has 23 years of service with the RCMP, with the majority being in the Lower Mainland.

His previous postings with the RCMP were in Surrey and Mission before moving north to Prince George.

Wright replaces Supt. Warren Brown, who was transferred to the North District RCMP and is currently the Acting District Commander for Northern BC.
