Thieves target kayaks

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George RCMP are looking for the public’s help in locating the suspect’s involved in the thefts of kayaks from Canadian Tire.

Cpl. Craig Douglass says it all started when four kayaks were stolen at around 3:30 a.m. on July 17 from the store’s outdoor compound.

“Two Pelican “The Catch 130” fishing kayaks valued at approximately $2000 each and two Pelican “Summit 100″ kayaks valued at approximately $500 each, were stolen,” he says.

“And at approximately 3:15 a.m. on July 24, the same compound was broken into. Two suspects gained entry and stole four kayaks, one Pelican “The Catch 120”, two Pelican “Escape 120’s” and one Pelican “Maxim 100” kayaks.
