Quesnel Council enhances nuisance bylaw

QUESNEL – The City of Quesnel is in the process of updating old bylaws – coincidently – on the heels of a rally against crime and drug use in Quesnel’s downtown.

The Mayor and Council has amended its nuisance bylaw with a focus on going after those people who loiter or panhandle in the downtown core. Recently the city of Quesnel completed a $6 million upgrade to its downtown.

This year city and council added to the nuisance bylaw to make the downtown safer. Anyone person caught breaking the bylaw will face a ticket or fine.
