PRINCE GEORGE— On November 24, Plaid Friday is coming to small businesses near you. Show your local spirit by wearing plaid and come down where you’ll find great specials, discounts, and prizes at participating downtown businesses.

The plaid pattern represents the “weaving of the individual threads of small businesses together to create a strong fabric that celebrates the diversity and creativity of independent businesses.”

Downtown Prince George features over 70 shops and special services and 30 cafes and restaurants showcasing the diversity of the city. Plaid Friday helps keep money in the community and supports local businesses during the holiday season.

Look for the wondering “Plaid Patrol” from 4 – 6 p.m. If the patrol catches you wearing plaid, you may get decked out with extra swag, free hot chocolate from Zoe’s Java House or some “Plaid Bucks” to spend at downtown businesses.
