PRINCE GEORGE – Free Advance Planning Clinic for Low-Income Seniors

A Will outlines what will happen to your assets and body after you pass away. Some elderly individuals find the task of drafting a will to be quite daunting. A newly established program organized by the Prince George Council of Seniors aims to support low-income adults with this process.

Wills, Power of Attorney, and representation agreements are some terms used to describe advance planning documents. For the last two years, the Council of Seniors has assisted low-income seniors in planning for their deaths.

Collaborating with Senior First BC, the Council of Seniors hosts a clinic twice a month: every second and fourth Wednesday by appointment.

Having certified documents before you can’t speak for yourself can help best direct your wishes, empowering you to have control over your end-of-life decisions.

The free advance planning clinic is available for individuals aged 55 and above and is only open to those with an annual income of less than $40,000. If you are interested in the clinic, contact the Prince George Council of Seniors.
