PRINCE GEORGE — Forty-one-year-old Cody Stovin is facing multiple charges related to a fire at the Connaught Residences Apartment Tower last week.

Stovin is accused of arson and was arrested last Thursday. Charges include possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, carrying a concealed weapon, and careless transportation of a firearm.

The fire displaced a total of 18 people. Stovin has been remanded into custody until his next court appearance.

“While one man was arrested in connection with this investigation, the details are complex and police are still working to determine the exact details of what occurred that morning,” says Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, media relations officer for the Prince George RCMP.
