BC reports additional 2,086 cases of COVID-19

NORTHERN BC- The province reported 21 new COVID-19 related deaths, none of which were in Northern Health. BC’s death toll has reached 2,575, while 282,189 people who tested positive have recovered.

Meanwhile, the north’s active case count has reached 1,186 after reporting 168 new cases. Across BC, 2,086 new cases were identified as the provincial active case count is now 30,058.

From January 18-24, people not fully vaccinated accounted for 28.2% of cases, and from January 11-24, they accounted for 29.9% of hospitalizations.
