Quesnel Couple Home After Surviving Las Vegas Shooting

What began as a trip to a country music concert in Las Vegas turned into a nightmare for Kevin and Audrey Christieson. The Quesnel couple was in the crowd when shots were fired Sunday night. At first they thought it was fireworks, but Audrey saw muzzle flashes coming from the nearby Mandalay Bay hotel and realized there was a shooter. Kevin and Audrey were right up front for the two first acts, but had seen Jason Aldean before, and decided to move further back as they wanted to go for dinner when the concert was done. It’s a decision that may have saved their lives. After finding refuge under bleachers and eventually moving to safety, the couple made it to a nearby hotel. The Christiesons are now back Quesnel and are happy to be home. Audrey says the shooting won’t deter her from going back to Las Vegas or even attending the Route 91 concert series again.
