It’s the next step towards raising BC’s minimum wage. The Ministry of Labour has launched a Fair Wages Commission. The Commission will have 90 days to determine a timeline for reaching the new $15 an hour standard minimum wage. The local Chamber of Commerce had concerns about the increase being implemented too fast. It is thankful that businesses and stakeholders across the province will be heard.
