A suspect has been arrested and charged in relation to a Kidnapping and Sexual Assault that occurred last month.
On Sunday, September 3rd, at approximately 2 a.m., a woman was fixing a flat tire at a gas station near 5th Avenue and Tabor Boulevard. A man exited a nearby vehicle and offered to help. After the two were unable to fix the tire, the man offered to give the woman a ride.
While driving her home, police say the man missed several turns. Mounties allege he pulled into a parking lot, believed to be on Foothills Boulevard, where he sexually assaulted her. The victim was able to fend off the attacker and fled on foot.
An investigation conducted by the Prince George RCMP led to the arrest of 26 year old, Sukhjinder Singh.
Singh made his first appearance in Provincial Court today. He is facing charges of Sexual Assault and Kidnapping.
Investigators have seen similarities between this incident and others that have occurred in Prince George this year. Prince George RCMP are continuing their investigation.
