Elder Citizens’ Recreation Centre Kitchen Complete

The ribbon-cutting on a kitchen expansion at the Elder Citizens’ Recreation Centre this morning. Work began earlier this year to add 345 square feet to the existing kitchen in order to meeting the growing demand for service at the Centre.
“We can make it safer for our staff to work more efficiently,” explains ECRA President Mike Bundock. “Not going to be tripping over big mats, not having to pack frozen turkeys dwotnstairs and, when the elevator breaks down we’re in real trouble.”
The expansion was identified earlier this year with membership going through the roof.
The kitchen will open once all the proper permitting is in place.
