Snowfall Warnings Stretch Across Northern BC

A major storm is expected to dump snow across a wide area of northern British Columbia over the next day.

Environment Canada has issued snowfall warnings for numerous regions including Chilcotin, North Coast, Bulkley Valley and The Lakes, Williston, Peace River, Yellowhead and North Columbia.  Up to 25 centimetres of snow is expected to fall in some of the regions.

Meantime there is a winter storm warning for issued for the McGregor where up to 35 centimetres are expected to fall by Sunday evening.

Environment Canada says a low pressure system approaching the BC coast will track across the northern Interior Sunday morning. The powerful system is expected to move into Alberta Sunday evening.
