AED Donation from Top Big Bike Team

The Westwood Church is the latest location to receive an Automatic External Defibrillator.
Royal Lepage Realty was the top earner in the Heart and Stroke’s Big Bike Campaign and today donated an AED to the church. The Westwood building plays host to more than its congregation with between one and two thousand visitors each week. Employees and volunteers today are learning how to use the device in the hopes of saving the life of anyone who goes into cardiac arrest.
Bonnie Mercedes with the Heart and Stroke Foundation says “placing an AED in our community fulfills our commitment to enabling faster, better cardiac emergency response and survival rates.”
Studies show CPR and AED use can double or triple the chance of survival for those suffering a cardiac emergency.
