The B.C. government has signed on to the Cascadia Venture Acceleration Network that connects nearly 50 technology, research and investment partners in the Pacific Northwest.

Jobs, Trade and Technology Minister Bruce Ralson says the network will help B.C.’s home-grown talent connect with partners across the region to boost our economy and create new jobs.

Ralson is in Seattle to sign the agreement that aims to match tech startups with funding and collaboration opportunities across borders.

The agreement has 48 signatories from B.C., Washington state and Oregon and will initially focus on information technology, life sciences and clean technology, with other sectors will be added over time.
