Douglas Fir Beetle Management Underway

Dec 13, 2017 | 3:28 PM

Residents in the Williams Lake area can expect to see helicopters in the air as logging operations get underway for the removal of Douglas fir beetle-infested trees. The current infestation is higher than normal in parts of the Cariboo region. The public is advised to stay away from the harvesting areas and for any livestock or pet owners to take precautions on protecting their animals. Operations are expected to be completed by the end of February 2018.
