Dylan Anhorn’s shorthanded goal midway through the third period lifted the Prince George Spruce Kings to a 3 – 1 victory in Coquitlam Friday night. The goal snapped a 1 – 1 tie and allowed the Kings to stay within a point of the Mainland Division leading Langley Rivermen.

Ben Brar and Corey Cunningham also scored for the Spruce Kings while Evan DeBrouwer stopped 23 shots in the win.

The Kings are in Victoria Saturday night.  They’ll still be missing two of their key players.  Forwards Kyle Johnson and Ethan de Jong will be wearing Team Canada West jerseys in today’s Championship game against the United States in the World Junior A Challenge.
