A large system from the Pacific is leaving a mark of northern BC Saturday night.  Environment Canada has issued a series of snowfall warnings for areas around the Pine Pass where up to 15 cm is expected to fall over the evening.

It says snow developed across the central and northern interior from the Williams Lake northwards to the Yukon Territory. The heaviest snowfall is expected to fall over the Williston, McGregor, and Pine Pass forecast regions.  Up to 20 cm of snow is forecast by Sunday morning.  The Yellowhead region, which runs east of Prince George to the Robson Valley, will see up to 20 cm of snow by Sunday night.

It warns the rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult along highways through the weekend.
