Patrick Cozzi scored the tying goal late in the third period as the Spruce Kings skated to a 3-3 tie with the Victoria Grizzlies to extend their unbeaten streak to eight games.

After falling behind 1-0 in the first period, the Spruce Kings got goals from Brady Bjork and Jarod Hovde in the 2nd period to jump out to a 2-1 lead. But Victoria answered back with two goals in just over 30 seconds later in the frame, before Cozzi netted the tying marker with just over three minutes to go in the game.

The Spruce Kings sit one point back of the Langley Rivermen for first place in the Mainland Division with two games in hand.

The Kings will play their last game before the Christmas break this afternoon at 2:00pm against the Cowichan Valley Capitals.
