In a battle of 16-year-old goalies, it was Everett Silvertips netminder Dustin Wolf who came out on top, as the ‘Tips blanked the Cougars 4-0 Saturday night.

Wolf made 31 saves for his first career WHL shutout, but Cougars rookie goalie Taylor Gauthier stopped his share of shots as well, turning aside 50 of the 54 shots he faced.

Riley Sutter scored two goals for the Silvertips, who also got markers from Patrick Bajkov and Sean Richards.

The Cougars play their final game before the Christmas break this afternoon at 4:00pm against the Vancouver Giants.
