Local Athlete Claims Title Of World’s Strongest Woman

Prince George’s Jen Ferguson is the first woman in Canadian history to claim the title of World’s Strongest Woman at the Official Strongman Games.

Ferguson took first place in the Master’s class this weekend at the Games in North Carolina.

Ferguson was in first place after day 1 of the event, finishing 2nd in the max log, yoke carry, carry medley and 3rd in the car deadlift.

Then on day 2, Ferguson finished 3rd in the truck pull and 6th in stones, which was enough to earn her the gold medal.
